Student Self-Assessed Fee Oversight Committee

Responsible for providing an orientation to individuals who make decisions concerning the expenditure of student self-assessed fees and on appropriate budgetary reporting. The Student Government Association (SGA) treasurer presides over the orientation meeting. The orientation process is coordinated by the Office of Business Affairs and includes a presentation by representatives of the individual organizations regarding their intended use of the fees. The council may vote to continue an assessed fee or, through a referendum process, discontinue the fee. The Student Self-Assessed Fee Oversight Committee is composed of the voting members of the following organizations: SGA executive branch, SGA Senate, The Contraband, The Log, Student Union Board, Band, Rodeo, Student Art Association, and Debate, and includes one student at-large (with no affiliation with any of the organizations represented on the committee) appointed by the provost and vice president for academic affairs and enrollment management and a designee from the vice president for business affairs and from the provost and vice president for academic affairs and enrollment management. The committee reports to the vice president for business affairs.
