The Student Organizations Committee is responsible for working with student groups on issues pertaining to recognition and conduct of organizations on campus.  The committee serves only as a final appellate body to review decisions of the Office of Student Services regarding 1) denials of group applications for recognition and 2) imposition of sanctions on recognized student organizations.  This committee is chaired by a member of the faculty/staff and reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs. The Student organizations Committee is composed of employee representatives as follows: 

  • Vice President of Student Affairs or Appointee (chair)
  • One Full-Time University Staff Member
  • President, Student Government Association
  • President, Greek Unity Board (or other designated Fraternity/Sorority Life council)
  • President, Student Life Coalition (or appointee)
  • Student-At-Large Appointed by Student Government Association
  • Chair of the Conduct & Academic Integrity Committee
  • Member of the McNeese Faculty
  • Graduate Assistant, Designated by the Office of Student Services
