The Grievance Committee serves as a hearing and recommending body, reporting its findings to the president of the University or his/her designee. Senior Staff will appoint the committee members as necessary, and both parties retain the right to petition Senior Staff regarding those committee appointments. Membership is comprised of appropriate faculty or staff, depending on the nature of the grievance and will reflect the diversity of the campus community and ensure the integrity of the hearing. The committee shall be an odd number with members and a chair who will be chosen by the group. The Grievance Committee shall conduct hearings in accordance with the procedures described in the Unclassified Grievance/Complaint Policy.
