The Export Control Committee, operating under the Office of Academic Affairs, oversees export control compliance. The committee:
- Advises the Executive Leadership Team and University community on export control policies, and
- Assesses risks related to:
- Sponsored and unsponsored research,
- International travel,
- International shipping,
- Vendor payments, and
- Sharing information with foreign nationals.
The committee is appointed by the provost and vice president for academic affairs and consists of the following:
- Executive Director of the Doré School of Graduate Studies (Chairperson)
- Director of Grants Development and Compliance
- One faculty member from the College of Engineering and Sciences
- One representative from the Division of Business Affairs
