Animal Use and Care Council

The Animal Use and Care Council reports to the provost and vice president for academic affairs and enrollment management and is responsible for reviewing experiments or procedures involving live, vertebrate animals. Experiments and procedures must be approved in advance. The council is composed of two faculty representatives from the College of Science, Engineering, and Mathematics; one faculty representative from the College of Agricultural Sciences, the College of Nursing and Health Professions, and the Faculty Senate; and one community member, preferably a veterinarian.
