Graduate Council

The Graduate Council reports to the provost and vice president for academic affairs and is responsible for reviewing proposed changes to graduate curricula offerings and programs, serving as a policy-recommending body, and hearing graduate student grade appeals. The Graduate Council is composed of one graduate faculty representatives from each academic department that offers a graduate degree, one representative from Faculty Senate, and one graduate student appointed by the provost and vice president for academic affairs.

Ex-officio members include the executive director of the William J. Doré, Sr. School of Graduate Studies, one representative from the Office of Admissions, two representatives from the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness, one representative from the Office of Recruiting, and one representative from the Office of the Registrar.
