Intramurals

The Smart Choice

Intramural sports are a fun, competitive way for students to relieve stress, stay healthy and get involved on campus. No matter your experience level or athleticism, there’s a game for you. McNeese offers individual and team sports such as volleyball, flag football, basketball, softball, table tennis, badminton and more. Teams can be men’s, women’s or co-ed.

Requirements

  • You must be a current student at McNeese and enrolled in six or more hours
  • You may not participate in an Intramural sport if you are part of the university team or have lettered in that particular Division I NCAA sport. For example, if you play on the McNeese Cowboy football team (including walk-ons and redshirts) you may not play intramural flag football.

Participation in Intramural Sports activities is completely voluntary. Intramural activities involve risks of physical injury greater than those encountered in daily life. By taking part in sports and other activities participants acknowledge and accept these risks.

The Intramural Sports Program does not carry accident or injury insurance to cover participants in sports activities. All participants and spectators are responsible for their own medical expenses. Therefore, all participants are strongly urged to purchase health insurance before participating in any activity. It is also recommended that all participants have a recent medical examination before participating.
