The McNeese State University Alumni Association is partnering with JCPenny to provide exclusive discounts on career apparel for McNeese students and alumni during the Suit Up sale from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, in Prien Lake Mall in Lake Charles.

“We’re very excited to work with JCPenny to provide this one-on-one shopping experience for our students and alumni,” says Stephanie Clark, assistant director of alumni affairs. “First impressions are critical to the success of an interview. The Alumni Association is committed to investing in both our students and graduates to make them the first choice for employers.”

The JCPenny Suit Up event is just three days before McNeese’s Fall Career and Internship Fair on Sept. 25 in the Rec Complex. This is the perfect opportunity for students and alumni to shop for professional attire that will make a lasting first impression with potential employers at the career fair, according to Clark.

To enter JCPenny, students must show a McNeese ID and alumni must show their Rowdy Card. Parents of student participants are also welcome. Each participant will receive a 30% off coupon to use towards a purchase of select men’s and women’s career dress apparel, shoes and accessories. Many items will already be marked down, and combined with the coupon, total savings could amount to 60% off.

Sephora inside JCPenny will also be providing free mini makeovers and samples, while the JCPenny Salon – although closed – will have consultants on hand to offer tips or schedule appointments.

For more information about the event or Rowdy Cards, contact the McNeese Alumni Association at 475-5232.
