Electronic delivery of transcripts is now only available through National Student Clearinghouse at https://tsorder.studentclearinghouse.org/school/ficecode/00201700.
For each request, there is a $2.50 processing fee (paid by the student at the point of service). Transcripts can be sent electronically to some colleges, universities, education organizations, professional school application services, employment verification services and related entities for only the $2.50 processing fee if the receiving organization participates in the National Student Clearinghouse Electronic Exchange. There is an additional $1 fee (paid by the student at the point of service) for each recipient entity not participating in the Electronic Exchange. Standard mailing and student pickup are still available through Banner Self Service or by using the transcript request form found at https://www.mcneese.edu/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Fillable_Transcript-Request-form_rev-2021-06.pdf. If requesting a transcript using the transcript request form, students are to use the special instructions area to indicate where to mail the transcript or note that they will pick up the transcript. Transcripts can be picked up in Student Central Monday – Thursday 8:30 – 5 or Friday 7:30 – 11:30
Updated Transcript Processing Information Regarding the COVID-19 Crisis
As McNeese is operating under modified conditions, transcript processing is currently delayed. Now more than ever, transcript requests completed through Banner Self-Service for transcripts to be sent electronically is both the easiest and fastest way for students to receive a transcript. Emailed requests for electronic transcripts are the second best option. Faxed request forms and those requests for hard copy transcripts may take 3-5 business days to process rather than the usual 2-3 business days.
Any person who has attended the university may obtain an academic transcript if clear with all departments, including the Administrative Accounting Office and the Financial Aid Office. There is no charge for up to three copies per request; there is a two-dollar charge for each additional copy.
Except during school holidays and at the end of the semester, transcripts are usually prepared within two to three working days after the request is received. At the end of each semester, approximately five working days are required to process a transcript request.
Transcript Request Forms are available at Student Central in Chozen Hall. You may also download the Transcript Request Form and mail, fax, or scan and email your request as indicated on the form. Alternatively, recent students may request transcripts through the Banner Self Service system foregoing the need to mail, fax, or email the request and a photo ID. The electronic request form can be accessed by logging in to the Banner Self Service system then going to the Student tab and selecting the Student Records link. Any questions regarding McNeese transcripts should be directed to Student Central at 337-475-5065. You must provide an up-to-date email address on the Transcript Request Form or ensure the accuracy of your email address(es) on Banner Self Service if completing the electronic request form. This email address will be the only means of communication used should there be problems associated with your request.
Electronic delivery is mandatory for all transcript requests.
Please note that McNeese State University utilizes the e-ScripSafe system to deliver official transcripts electronically. If attendance at McNeese was prior to the spring of 1985, electronic delivery is not currently available (fax, U.S. postal service, or pick up are the only options). If you have extenuating circumstances that require a hard copy transcript, please contact our office at the number listed above.
