Military Tuition Assistance

The Military Tuition Assistance (TA) program is available to eligible active duty, National Guard, and Reserve Component service members.

To initiate the process for obtaining funding through the Tuition Assistance program, students must first receive Tuition Assistance approval from ESO, a military counselor, or the Service prior to enrolling. McNeese will return unearned TA funds on a proportional basis through the 60 percent portion of the period for which the funds were provided.
TA funds are earned proportionally during an enrollment period, with unearned funds returned based on when a student stops attending. In instances when a Service member stops attending due to a military service obligation, the educational institution will work with the affected Service member to identify solutions that will not result in a student debt for the returned portion.

Schedule – Return of Unearned Funds – TA

A student is awarded under the assumption that the student will attend the entire period. Once the student stops attending, McNeese (The Institution) must return a portion of the funds back to the service that provided the funds. McNeese uses the following schedule to calculate the return percentage of unearned TA:
