Our seven departments offer a variety of degree programs intended to challenge and inspire you, encourage your self-expression and critical thinking skills and even prepare you for law school. In addition to our band program and performance and exhibition spaces, our college offers many internship, research and scholarship opportunities to make sure you’re prepared to pursue your career after you graduate, no matter what field.

College Highights

Several scholarships are available to students in the College of Liberal Arts.

Students have the opportunity to participate in gallery exhibitions, performances and recitals throughout the semester.

In 2013, McNeese Alumnus Adam Johnson (M.F.A., '96) won the Pulitzer Prize for his novel The Orphan Master's Son.

The Mass Communication program offers Speech and Debate, plus opportunities to work with the Southland Conference and ESPN.

Anna Grace Bizzle

Ms. Anna Grace Bizzle is an Academic Advisor for the College of Nursing and Health Professions. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in Secondary Education from Mississippi State University. Her favorite part of advising at McNeese is being a resource for students as they get used to the expectations of college and helping students pursue their degrees at such a wonderful school.
