McNeese Announces 2021 Cowboy Court

The McNeese State University Student Government Association has created the 2021 Cowboy Court to combine both the Homecoming and Spring courts for the 2020-21 academic year. Both courts were presented during halftime ceremonies at the McNeese Cowboys vs. Lamar Cardinals football game on Saturday, March 13, in Cowboy Stadium.

Homecoming King and Queen are education senior Tristan Baggett, Sulphur, and education senior Amberly Thompson, Lake Charles, while Hasan Mir, a biological sciences senior from Lake Charles, and Amelia Landreneau, a health and human performance senior from Moss Bluff, have been selected Mr. and Miss McNeese.

Baggett is a Blue and Gold Peerleader and president of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

Thompson is a member of McNeese’s NAACP chapter and Campus Kappas.

Mir is a Blue and Gold Peerleader and member of the Honors College.

Landreneau is a member of the Pride of McNeese Marching Band and Kappa Lambda.

Other court members are: Wasey Crain, Singer, Cameron Fontenot, Lake Charles, Abigail Fruge, Sulphur, Allie Giffin, Moss Bluff, Kelly Hines, Cypress, Texas, Jordan Latham, Moss Bluff, Erin Moss, Sulphur, Gavin Nettles, Lake Charles, Ryan Robledo, Clayton, Indiana, and Ashlee Sebren, Eros, seniors; Claire Adams, Lake Charles, Ethan Anderson, Lake Charles, Jarrett Constance, Johnson Bayou, Serena Greenlee, Lake Charles, Jorion LeGros, Lake Charles, Macie Maddox, Sulphur, and Essence Means, Fort Worth, Texas, juniors; Leon LaHaye, Arnaudville, Bailey Leonards, Iota, Valeria Lopez, Eunice, and Kayla Warner, Houston, Texas, sophomores; and Hannah Akes, Lake Charles, Beau Dobson, Lake Charles, Kane Fontenot, Jennings, and Lexee Leger, Lake Charles, freshmen.

Crain, a general business administration major, is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha and is a former captain of the McNeese cheerleading team.

Fontenot, a biological sciences major, is a Blue and Gold Peerleader and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha.

Fruge, a biological sciences major, is a member of the McNeese Honors College and the Pre-Medical Society.

Giffin, an education major, is a member of Phi Mu Sorority and Cowboy Catholics.

Hines, a history major, is a member of the women’s soccer team and the Honors College.

Latham, a biological sciences major, is president of Chi Omega Sorority and a Blue and Gold Peerleader.

Moss, a biological sciences major, is a member of Chi Omega and the American Chemical Society.

Nettles, a health and human performance major, is a Blue and Gold Peerleader and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha.

Robledo, a mechanical engineering major, is a member of the Honors College and Kappa Lambda.

Sebren, an agricultural sciences major, is a Blue and Gold Peerleader and a member of Chi Omega.

Adams, an accounting major, is a member of the Honors College and Chi Omega.

Anderson, a health and human performance major, is a member of Cowboys for Christ and Pi Kappa Alpha.

Constance, a nursing major, is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha.

Greenlee, a general business administration major, is a Blue and Gold Peerleader and a member of Chi Omega.

LeGros, a health systems management major, is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha.

Maddox, a biological sciences major, is a Blue and Gold Peerleader and is treasurer of Chi Omega.

Means, a medical laboratory science major, is a member of Kappa Lambda and NAACP.

LaHaye, a chemical engineering major, is a member of the Honors College and the Pre-Medical Society.

Leonards, a health and human performance major, is a Blue and Gold Peerleader and a member of Kappa Alpha Order.

Lopez, an agricultural sciences major, is secretary of McNeese’s Society for Human Resource Management chapter and a member of Circle K International.

Warner, a health and human performance major, is a member of the women’s track and field team and the Baptist Collegiate Ministry.

Akes, a general business administration major, is a member of Chi Omega and Delta Sigma Pi.

Dobson, an education major, is a Blue and Gold Peerleader.

Fontenot, a general business administration major, is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha. Leger, an agricultural sciences major, is a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and Circle K International.
