SEED Center
The Southwest Louisiana Entrepreneurial and Economic Development (SEED) Center serves as a hub for economic development in Southwest Louisiana. The Center houses the Student Innovation Center, and hosts the spring Undergraduate Scholar and Research Symposium, which offers students the opportunity to conduct research projects under the supervision of faculty mentors.
Student Activities
McNeese has more than 100 student organizations and clubs on campus, including ones that compliment general business administration majors’ academic courses. Get involved on campus with the Entrepreneurship club, the Society for Human Resource Management and the Delta Sigma Pi co-ed professional business fraternity.
Business Pitch Competition
Held annually, the SEED Center’s Business Pitch competition helps local entrepreneurs start their businesses with startup funding and the use of SEED Center’s business incubator. Since the competition’s start in 2013, McNeese students have won funding for their business ideas in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019.
