Director’s Welcome

Frazar Memorial Library is devoted to serving the intellectual needs of the local community of McNeese State University, Southwest Louisiana, and beyond. With an emphasis on information access and literacy, we empower our patrons by providing the information and tools needed for learning.

As the heart of the university, the library recognizes its responsibility as the principal information and learning resource on campus by supporting the curriculum, teaching, research, and service goals of the university. We strive to present a dynamic space for collaborative teaching and collaborative learning.

We consider our library to be a refuge and honor the unique social qualities of an academic library. Frazar Memorial Library is more than just a repository of information. We offer a dynamic space conducive to exploration and discovery, for collaboration and contemplation.
