Victoria Jeansonne earned undergraduate degrees from Southeastern Louisiana University (BA in History, BA in Political Science) and Nunez Community College (AA in Paralegal Studies). She holds a MA in Political Science from Louisiana State University, and is currently a PhD candidate, ABD in Political Science from Louisiana State University, with an expertise in American Politics and Comparative Politics. She also serves as a Call Center Supervisor and PRAMS Project Head Supervisor for LSU’s Public Policy Research Lab. She authors the annual Louisiana Department of Health BRFSS Report. She joined McNeese in Spring 2023 and teaches in the College of Liberal Arts. She serves as an Assistant Professor, head of Political Science, academic advisor, and faculty advisor for two student organizations. Her research interests include public policy, representation, and cross-national comparative politics (specifically policy).
