Dr. Muhammad M. Haque received his BA (1975) and MA (1976) in Sociology from the University of Dhaka. He received his PhD in Sociology from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1992, specializing in Demography, Organization and Development. Prior to joining McNeese, he taught at several universities since 1982, including the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah, Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, Saint Mary’s University in Winona, Minnesota, Northeastern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana and Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Before starting his academic career, he worked for various international organizations, including Christian Organization for Relief and Rehabilitation, Oxford Committee for Famine and Relief, and Press and Information Department of the Federal Republic of Germany in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His current teaching and research highlights international comparative education and holistic collaborative teaching pedagogy using cross-sectional and longitudinal aggregate data from the USA and other nations.
