Meghan Fleming earned a B.A. in Studio Art from Smith College and an M.F.A. in Painting from Indiana University. She also studied at the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting, and Sculpture. Fleming’s paintings have been featured on LPB’s Art Rocks! (May 2025), in Expressions of Place: The Contemporary Louisiana Landscape by John Kemp (University Press of Mississippi, 2016), and in exhibitions throughout the United States. Her handmade paper was included in the Shanghai Biennale: Feast on Paper Art International Paper Art Exhibit Invitational 2019 at the Fengxian Museum in Shanghai, China, and at the D-Lab Art Center in Guangzhou, China in 2016.

She is the recipient of a Louisiana Division of the Arts Fellowship, a U.S. Department of Agriculture–Natural Resources Conservation Grant, and several endowed professorships. Fleming currently serves as Professor of Painting in the Department of Visual Arts at McNeese State University.
