Kenneth Baskin received his BFA from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, and earned his MFA from the University of South Carolina. He is currently Professor of Art at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he teaches ceramics.

Baskin has presented ceramic workshops, delivered lectures, and exhibited his ceramic sculptures in solo and group exhibitions both nationally and internationally. His honors include receiving the Emerging Artist Award from the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA); a solo exhibition at the Taipei County Yingge Ceramics Museum in Taiwan; and invitations as a visiting artist, workshop instructor, and lecturer at the Tainan National University of the Arts in Tainan, Taiwan, and the National Taiwan University of the Arts in Taipei. His work has also been featured in numerous books and journals.
