Industrial Advisory Boards

The College of Engineering and Computer Science operates two advisory boards, one that services the engineering program, and one that services the computer science program. The boards provide the college with independent and critical assessment feedback on the curricula and facilities while promoting the needs, trends, and challenges of business and industry.

Their primary objectives are to:

  • Provide the college feedback about how to prepare its students through coursework and related experiential education for success in their careers, higher education and in life.
  • Provide the college critical assessment and feedback on the curricula and facilities while promoting the needs, trends, and challenges of business/industry.
  • Identify and promote paid and unpaid internships for college students.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for college faculty.
  • Provide and solicit assistance from the business and industry community in funding special needs of the college programs.
  • Advocate on behalf of McNeese State University regarding the engineering and computer science programs.

The College of Engineering and Computer Science Advisory Boards meet on the McNeese State University campus in April and October.
