McNeese Honors Student Employee of the Year

McNeese State University graduate student Caitlyn Burcham, of Lake Charles, has been recognized as the McNeese 2020 Janet Delaine Student Employee of the Year. Burcham works in the Burton College of Education as a graduate assistant with Dr. Angel Ogea, dean of the college. 

Jennifer Greene, of Oberlin, is the other finalist. Greene is a marketing student intern with McNeese Athletics.

McNeese currently employs over 500 students throughout the campus. The Student Employee of the Year program – sponsored by the National Student Employment Association and the southern Association of Student Employment Administrators – recognizes students who demonstrate reliability, quality of work, initiative, professionalism and contributions, according to Derek Fontenot, student employment administrator. 

The annual award is named in honor of the late Janet Delaine, who was a member of the student Employee of the Year Committee and assistant director of financial aid at McNeese.
