Dr. Landon Scriber

Dr. Landon Scriber serves as Director of Choral Activities at McNeese State University where he conducts the McNeese Statue University Chamber Singers and University Chorale. Currently, Landon sings with the Vocal Arts Ensemble of Cincinnati, the premiere professional vocal ensemble of Cincinnati under the direction of Dr. Joe Miller. Dr. Scriber received his Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Mississippi College, Master’s degree in Choral Conducting from Louisiana State University, and Doctorate of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. Prior to his time at CCM, Landon was the Director of Choral Activities at Alexandria Senior High School, Music Director at Emmanuel Baptist Church of Alexandria, LA, and sang with Coro Vocati, a professional choral ensemble based in Atlanta, GA.
Some of Landon’s past performances include the “young man” soli in Kodály’s Mátrá Pictures for Coro Vocati’s ACDA Southern Division performance, the Fence (that night) in Coro Vocati’s stage production of Craig Hella Johnson’s Considering Matthew Shepard, lead baritone for the England based C. S. Lewis Institute Chamber Choir, bass soloist for Mozart’s Requiem at Louisiana State University and Tennessee Wesleyan College, baritone soloist for Vox Anima London’s ‘Tuvayhun’, Pilatus in CCM’s production of J. S. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, baritone for CCM’s Professional Choral Residency with Gallicantus, and baritone soloist for CCM Chamber Choir’s performance of Gregory Spears’ The Tower and the Garden.
