McNeese Receives Donation from Cal-Maine Foods

The Harold and Pearl Dripps School of Agricultural Sciences at McNeese State University has received a $1,345 grant from the USPOULTRY Foundation as part of its Industry Education Recruitment Funding program, which provides annual recruiting and retention funds to colleges and universities to attract students to their poultry programs. The McNeese grant was made possible by an endowed gift from Cal-Maine Foods Inc. One of the benefits of the grant is the ability to send agricultural sciences students to conferences where they can participate in interviews that lead to internships and/or full-time employment offers. Agricultural sciences instructor Devin Gandy and four agricultural sciences students will attend the International Production and Processing Expo this week in Atlanta, Georgia.
