Constitution Day

Constitution Day

Constitution Day is September 17th!

Constitution Day was enacted as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2005 to commemorate the September 17th, 1787 signing of the Constitution. The U.S. Department of Education released a Notice of Implementation to announce that all educational institutions receiving federal financial funding must provide educational programs pertaining to the United States Constitution on September 17th of each year. McNeese celebrates Constitution Day on September 17th. However, when September 17th falls on a weekend or holiday, it is celebrated during the preceding or following week.
