The Student Health Services clinic will be closed on university holidays; however, students can be seen by Ochsner medical staff in the Urgent Care clinic during regular clinic hours when the university is closed. Out of pocket expenses and/or insurance billing may be required for services provided by Ochsner medical staff in the Urgent Care clinic.
Student Health Services provides acute medical care and promotes the development of wellness and healthy lifestyles for students in a safe, non-judgmental manner. We focus on helping students achieve and maintain a level of physical health and wellness than enables them to fulfill their academic responsibilities and succeed at completing their degree programs.
All currently enrolled McNeese students are eligible for treatment for no charge at the time of service. Health Services is funded by the assessed student health fee that students pay each semester, and staffed with an Ochsner medical staff team available for acute medical care as well as the McNeese student health coordinator for non-clinical consultations.
