McNeese hosts Orost and Trahan in joint senior recital

The McNeese State University W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts will present a free joint junior/senior vocal recital featuring baritone Lucas Orsot and mezzo soprano Taylor Trahan at 5 p.m. Friday, April 20, in Tritico Theatre in the Shearman Fine Arts Annex.
Orsot, of Lake Charles, will sing works by Brahms, Schumann, Scarlatti, Fauré, Hahn and Finzi while Trahan, of Lake Charles, will perform selections by Handel, Vivaldi, Brahms, Gounod and Samuel Barber.
Trahan, a vocal music performance junior, is a member of the McNeese Chamber Singers, Opera Workshop and the student chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. She has also appeared as a soloist in Handel’s “Messiah.”
