Banners at McNeese State University will present the Grammy Award-winning Paquito D’Rivera in concert at 7 p.m. Nov. 11 in Tritico Theatre.

McNeese ranks second among public and private schools in Louisiana for affordable tuition, fourth for the best average starting salary and fifth for the best college education value.

Dalton Hinton, a senior from Moss Bluff, and Truclinh Truong, a senior from Lake Charles, have been named as McNeese’s 2015 Homecoming King and Queen.

The Market Basket Foundation presented a $10,000 donation to McNeese State University for the Market Basket Academic Scholarship.

Several contests were held in conjunction with Homecoming activities on the McNeese State University campus this week. Phi Mu won first place in the Homecoming float, University Large Division.

The McNeesePerforming Arts Department will present pianist, composer and improviser Steven Termini in a recital at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, in Tritico Theatre.

The McNeese Department of Performing Arts will present an alumni concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, in the Tritico Theatre as part of 2015 Homecoming Week activities.

The McNeese Alumni Association recently presented its two most prestigious awards - the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award and the Distinguished Service Award.

CHRISTUS St. Patrick Hospital donated $5,000 to the McNeese State University Alumni Association to help sponsor 2015 Homecoming Week activities Oct.17-Oct.24.

McNeese art professor Gerry Wubben will have a solo exhibit opening Thursday, Oct. 8, in the Art Associates Gallery in the Central School Arts and Humanities Center.
