Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024
Due to the potential of flash flooding and the no travel advisory emergency alert advising against non-mandatory travel (rev. 1/24/24 3:30 p.m.) issued by the National Weather Service, McNeese State University will shift to online instruction until 11:00 a.m. today, Wednesday, January 24. We plan to reopen campus when the rain and street flooding subside and will issue another announcement later this morning. Dining operations for residents will remain fully operational with the exception of the Library. Monitor your McNeese email, the website and social media for updates. Students should contact their instructors regarding specific classes and assignments for today, and employees should contact their supervisors if circumstances prevent them from coming to campus when the no travel advisory is lifted. Please use extreme caution if traveling and do not drive through water that covers the road. If you have an emergency on campus, please call McNeese Police at 337-475-5711.
