McNeese Receives Donation from Ieyoub Family
The Ieyoub family has donated $21,000 to the McNeese State University Foundation to support various campus initiatives. The Ieyoub family of Lake Charles has a proud connection to McNeese. Phillip Ieyoub came to Lake Charles as an immigrant from Lebanon and with his first-generation Lebanese American wife, Virginia, they raised four boys and a girl and instilled in them the importance of education as well as giving back to their communities. The four brothers – Richard, Kalil, Patrick and Daniel – along with 23 of their children, some of their children’s spouses and several grandchildren have received their degrees from McNeese. Their sister Ernestine also had a son, Dr. Richard “Rick” Underwood, who is a 1980 pre-medicine graduate of McNeese. This is a total of 28 members of one family.
