McNeese Receives Donation from Godwin Family

Russ Godwin, Griff Godwin and Louanna Godwin Goolsby have given $100,000 to the McNeese State University Foundation to establish the Fred R. and Jeaneal W. Godwin Memorial Scholarship in memory of their parents. Jeaneal was a 1983 Master of Education graduate and worked at McNeese in the office of admissions and recruiting for 14 years. Fred attended McNeese before earning a bachelor’s degree in social science and law and juris doctorate degrees from Louisiana State University. He retired as 14^th Judicial District Court Judge in 2002. Fred was also an active member of the McNeese Alumni Association and McNeese Foundation Board of Directors.
