McNeese Announces the 2024 Spring Court

McNeese State University announces Samuel Gil, a mass communication major from Ville Platte, as Mr. McNeese, and Kayla Warner, a health and human performance major with a concentration in sports medicine from New Orleans, as Ms. McNeese for Spring 2024 Court.
Gil is a senior and the son of Nicole and Eric Gil. He serves as the president of the Student Government Association and is a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and Honors College and the student member on the Louisiana Board of Regents.
Warner is a senior and the daughter of Alicia Warner and Derrick Davis. She is the president of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and a member of the women’s track and field team, Student Government Association, Student Life Coalition, NAACP, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Physical Medicine Society and Women in Leadership.
Other Spring Court members include: Hadley Hoffpauir and Alicia Powell, freshmen; Kadence Harrington and Jagger Morvant, sophomores; Hannah Benoit, Nathan Blanchard, Adisyn Estes and Bishwash Khadka, juniors; and Pavel Kraus, Maggi Terro, Evan Veillon and Deseree Wallace, seniors.
Hoffpauir is the son of Shellie and Derick Hoffpauir and a civil engineering major from Lacassine. He is a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Cowboy Catholics, Interfraternity Council, American Society of Civil Engineers and Society of Christian Engineers.
Powell is the daughter of Rosalind Powell and a nursing major from San Diego, California. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Women in Leadership.
Harrington is the daughter of Joshua and Katie Harrington and a chemical engineering major with a minor in mathematical sciences from Lake Charles. She is the vice president of finance and chaplain of Alpha Delta Pi. She is a member of American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, McNeese Rowdy Riders, Cowboy Catholics and Honors College.
Morvant is the son of Brent and Jami Morvant and an accounting major with a concentration in CPA exam prep from Lake Charles. He is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Greek Unity Board and McNeese Rowdy Riders.
Benoit is the daughter of Theresa and Jonathon Benoit and a psychology major with a minor in criminal justice from Evangeline. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, Psi Chi Honor Society, McNeese Rowdy Riders and Honors College. She is the activity coordinator of Small Steps and Student Government Association senator from the College of Nursing and Health Professions.
Blanchard is the son of Amanda and Brandon Blanchard and a biological science major with a concentration in pre-medicine from Moss Bluff. He is the speaker of the senate for Student Government Association and vice president of Speech and Debate team. He is a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Honors College, McNeese Rowdy Riders, Pre-Med Society and Biology Club.
Estes is the daughter of Tricia and Michael Estes and a general studies major with a concentration in art and humanity from Moss Bluff. She is the secretary of the Student Art Association and a Student Government Association senator. She is a member of Chi Omega Sorority, Small Steps, Speech and Debate team, Honors College and McNeese Rowdy Riders.
Khadka is the son of B.D. and Gaura Khadka and a computer science major with a concentration in general computer science from Nepal. He is president of the Nepalese Student Association, a Student Life Coalition coordinator and secretary of the Mathematical Association of America. He is a member of the Association of Computing Machinery, McNeese Robotics and the National Society of Black Engineers.
Pavel Kraus is the son of Monika Krausova and Miroslav Kraus and is a civil engineering major from the Czech Republic. He is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers and McNeese men’s soccer club.
Terro is the daughter of Sheena and Jeremy Terro and an English major with a secondary education concentration from Sulphur. She is a member of Phi Mu Sorority, Order of Omega, the Pan-Hellenic Council and is a resident teacher in the Buron College of Education.
Veillon is the son of Kim and Jed Veillon and a business administration major with a concentration in construction management from Ville Platte. He is vice president of philanthropy for Interfraternity Council and internal vice president of Pi Kappa Alpha. He is a member of McNeese Intramurals, Cowboy Catholics and McNeese Rowdy Riders.
Wallace is the daughter of Melonie and Desmond Wallace and a biological sciences major from Lake Charles. She is the president of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and a member of Order of Omega, National Pan-Hellenic Council and Women in Leadership.
