McNeese State University W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts and the Department of Visual Arts faculty will be hosting an evening of art and music on Thursday, Sept. 17. 2026.
The Annual McNeese Faculty Exhibition will open in the Grand Gallery with a reception beginning at 6 p.m. The exhibition will feature works of art including ceramics, drawing, graphic design, painting, photography, and printmaking.
The McNeese Faculty Potpourri, a music recital featuring the performing arts faculty, will begin at 7 p.m. in the Tritico Theatre, located next to the Grand Gallery.
Visitors can enjoy the exhibition, the opening reception and the recital in one evening and in one location.
There are several art exhibitions happening in the Shearman Fine Arts Annex this fall. Photographer Alec Kauss’ exhibition, On Becoming a Black Hole, is on display in the Mezzanine Gallery until Sept. 24. Echizen (Japanese) pottery by artists Chris Kelly and Kenji Kasatsuji is in the Abercrombie Gallery until Oct. 13.
The McNeese Faculty Exhibition will close on Dec. 4.
All exhibitions, and the recital, are free and open to the public and are partially sponsored by the McNeese Student Art Assessment.
