First Choice for NASA Internship
Kevin Romero, a senior electrical engineering student, is working on a printed circuit board for a helmet display system that will be in the next generation of space suits as part of his internship with NASA.
This display system will project an image inside the helmet so astronauts can more easily receive and navigate data and information without using physical controls.
This is Kevin’s second internship with NASA. He has also participated in three NASA-affiliated projects at McNeese – LaACES (Louisiana Aerospace Catalyst Experiences for Students), RockOn! and RockSat-C – that have further developed his engineering skills and will make him a First Choice engineer to future employers.
