Art Professor Featured in Upcoming Exhibits

July 20, 2020 | McNeese Public Relations
Two pieces of art unfolded with grooves up and down.

Heather Ryan Kelley, Professor of Art, will have work featured in two upcoming exhibitions.

Her selected work, an accordion book, titled “In the Name of Annah the Allmaziful,” will be on display through December in the “Opera Verbis, Works from Words” exhibition in the Gates Reading Room Gallery in the Denver Public Library Central Branch in Colorado. Her piece comes from her Midden Heap Project of collages and artists’ books based on James Joyce’s “Finnegans Wake.”

Heather’s maze book, “Song of Degrees,” is based on her painting by the same name and will be on display this fall in the 48th Annual National Juried Exhibition of Works on Paper at Brand Library & Art Center in Glendale, Calif.
