McNeese Visual Arts Department Hosts High School Portfolio Day

The McNeese State University Department of Visual
Arts will host High School Portfolio Day 2019 for high school junior and senior
art students from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, in the Shearman Fine Arts Center.

 Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Abercrombie Gallery. Department tours will be available for the students, parents and teachers.        

Students are
invited to bring their art portfolios of no more than 10 images and/or their
sketchbooks for visual arts faculty to review.

Merit certificates will be awarded to seniors recommended by the Department of Visual Arts to receive a Distinguished Achievement Award in Art, ranging in value up to $500. Students must be admitted to McNeese as visual arts majors for consideration.
