McNeese LSBDC Hosts Government Contracting Workshop

McNeese State University will hold a workshop titled “Government Contracting 101” from 2-4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, at the SEED Center.

The workshop is sponsored by the Louisiana Small Business Development Center at McNeese and co-sponsored by SASOL and the Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance.

The workshop will feature information on how to grow a business through government contracting. Attendees will receive information on various government contracting programs, federal government procurement methods and buying procedures. Additionally, the workshop will provide step-by-step guidance in setting up a search agent to identify contracting opportunities. Speakers include Jo Ann Lawrence, Small Business Administration deputy district director and Marjorae Ball, economic development specialist.
