McNeese hosts junior recital

The McNeese State University W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts will present a free junior flute recital by Freja Cole at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24, in Tritico Theatre. Lina Morita will accompany on piano.

Cole will perform “Concerto No. 2 in D Major” by François Devienne, “La Fille aux Cheveux de Lin” by Claude Debussy, “Sonata No. 4 in C Major” by J.S. Bach and “Rhapsodie” by Arthur Honegger, with special guests Riley Maggio, on clarinet, and Larissa Perez, on flute.

Cole, from Sulphur, is a music education and performance major. At McNeese, she is president of the honorary band fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi, woodwind captain for the Pride of McNeese Marching Band and a member of the Wind Symphony and the flute choir.
