David Billodeau Senior Recital

The McNeese State University W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts will present a free senior recital by David Billodeau, saxophone, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, in Ralph Squires Recital Hall. Lina Morita will accompany on piano.
Billodeau will perform “Tableaux De Provence” by Paule Maurice, “Fantasie für Sopran-Saxophone und Klavier op. 13” by Matthias Hutter, “Sonata Op. 19” by Paul Creston, “Prelude from Suite No. 1” by J. S. Bach, “Rhapsodie” by Claude Debussy and “Polar Vortex” by Chris Evan Hass. Caden Burgett, soprano, Mark Portier, alto, and William Pena, tenor, will assist.
Billodeau, from Sulphur, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music with a concentration in music education at McNeese. He has been a member of the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band and Pep Band. He has also served as drum major for four years in The Pride of McNeese Marching Band and performed in the London New Year’s Day Parade in 2018. Billodeau has also performed as drum major for The Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps in LaCrosse, Wis., for three years.
