CANCELLED: Banners at McNeese presents the Flying Balalaika Brothers

Following CDC guidelines restricting events involving 50 or more participants, this event has been cancelled.
McNeese State University will present a performance by the Flying Balalaika Brothers at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 21, in the historic F.G. Bulber Auditorium as part of the 2020 Banners Cultural Season.
For nearly 20 years, this feisty group has entranced audiences with its unique blend of electric rock n’ roll and Russian, Ukrainian and Croatian folk music. The band’s eye-catching interactive performances feature instruments such as the contra-bass balalaika, a triangle-shaped stringed instrument.
Seamlessly moving from traditional Russian folk songs to guitar and drum-driven rock, the Flying Balalaika Brothers’ high-energy shows feel more like a block party than a performance.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for students under 18 and free for McNeese and Sowela students with current IDs.
Banners is supported by ticket sales, memberships, corporate sponsors and grants. For more information about the program or to get tickets, visit the Banners website at www.banners.org or call the Banners office at 337-475-5123.
