Nye Reading at McNeese Set

Author Michael Nye will give a free reading at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, in the McNeese State University Business Conference Center. This reading is sponsored by the McNeese Master of Fine Arts in creative writing program.
Nye is the author of the short story collection “Strategies Against Extinction” (2012) and the novel “All the Castles Burned” (2018). His fiction and nonfiction have appeared in American Literary Review, Crab Orchard Review, Epoch and Sou’wester. He has been a finalist for the Katherine Anne Porter Prize in fiction and has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Nye received a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Ohio State University and an MFA in creative writing from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
