McNEESE STATE UNIVERSITY

The McNeese State University College of Business has earned reaffirmation of its accreditation from AACSB International, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, affirming the college’s continued commitment to high-quality business education, student success and continuous improvement.
AACSB accreditation is recognized worldwide as a leading standard of excellence in business education. Fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide have achieved AACSB accreditation, placing the McNeese College of Business among a select group of institutions committed to rigorous standards for teaching, research, curriculum and student learning. The McNeese College of Business has been accredited since 1989.
“This reaffirmation is an important accomplishment for the McNeese College of Business and a reflection of the collective work of our faculty, staff, students, community partners and university leadership,” said Morgan Turpin, college dean. “AACSB accreditation represents an ongoing commitment to evaluating what we do, responding to the changing needs of our students and employers and continually strengthening the education and opportunities we provide.”
AACSB-accredited institutions undergo a rigorous continuous improvement review process that evaluates a business school’s strategic management, faculty qualifications and engagement, curriculum, assurance of learning, research and societal impact, among other measures of quality and effectiveness.
“Our mission is centered on providing quality business education that prepares students to succeed while also serving the economic needs of our region,” Turpin said. “The connection between our students, our faculty and the business community is one of the college’s greatest strengths.”
The college offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in accounting, finance, management, marketing and business administration, as well as a Master of Business Administration. Students also have access to specialized concentrations and a liquefied natural gas undergraduate business certificate designed to respond to emerging workforce needs. The college offers minors in entrepreneurship, construction management and business administration.
“For our students and their families, AACSB accreditation provides an important assurance of quality,” Turpin said. “When students choose the McNeese College of Business, they are receiving a market-driven dynamic curriculum that meets internationally recognized standards while benefiting from the personal attention, industry connections and opportunities that make McNeese special. I am incredibly proud of our college and excited about where we are headed next.”
