B.J. Hebert, a 1988 engineering graduate, will serve as the new President and Chief Operating Officer of Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. He currently serves as Executive Vice President and COO.
B.J. has more than 30 years of experience in the chemical industry and served as President of Occidental Chemistry (OxyChem) prior to joining Chevron Phillips Chemical in 2020. During his tenure with OxyChem, he held numerous roles including Senior Vice President, basic chemicals; Vice President and General Manager, vinyls; and Manufacturing Director, chemicals.
B.J. has visited campus to talk with senior chemical engineering majors about how his time at McNeese prepared him for a career in leadership in the chemical industry.
