Nursing Program Admission for International Students

In order to meet eligibility requirements for admission to the clinical nursing sequence, the international student must complete one of the following:

  1. Take the TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based TOEFL) and score a minimum of 19 on each of the 4 test sections, Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing, for a total of 76 points; or
  2. Take the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) and score a minimum composite band score of 6.0; or
  3. Take the Pearson Test of English (PTE) and score a minimum overall score of 51; or
  4. Take the Duolingo English Test and score a minimum score of 110;

Then, provide the College of Nursing and Health Professions with a copy of passing scores by the posted clinical application deadline.

Ms. Anna Grace Bizzle is an Academic Advisor for the College of Nursing and Health Professions. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in Secondary Education from Mississippi State University. Her favorite part of advising at McNeese is being a resource for students as they get used to the expectations of college and helping students pursue their degrees at such a wonderful school.
