In order to be fully prepared for the multifaceted aspects of working as an artist and educator today, it is important that hands-on training be provided. Theatre majors are expected to take part in all aspects of a production, backstage and on-stage; music education majors gain teaching experience through service-learning opportunities through our National String Project Consortium site; and in addition to the many performance opportunities we have for all students, experiences and collaboration with visiting artists of national reputation are provided.
As you consider the high quality of our programs, I also invite you to look carefully at the Cost of Attendance page. You will find that we offer a good value as well. When you combine our low cost of attendance with a service-award or scholarship from our department, then that cost becomes lower.
