Campus Closure for Tropical Storm Francine

Posted On: September 9, 2024 | By: Marketing and Communications

Out of an abundance of caution, the McNeese State University Executive Leadership Team has determined that the campus will move to online course delivery effective noon tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 10. All offices will close at 1pm. All classes will be canceled, and offices will remain closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Campus residents are encouraged to leave campus during the closure, but residence halls will remain open. Dining operations will continue to operate on a modified schedule in Rowdy’s Cafeteria on Wednesday. All other dining establishments and campus offices will be closed beginning at 1pm on Tuesday through Wednesday.

Given the current track of the storm, we are anticipating a full reopening on Thursday, Sept. 12. The Executive Leadership Team will assess the status of campus on Wednesday to determine reopening procedures. Continue to monitor your McNeese email, the McNeese website and official social media accounts for additional information. If you have an emergency on campus, please call McNeese Police at 337-475-5711.
