International Scholarships
Your First Choice
McNeese State University is proud to offer several generous scholarships to international students. If you have any questions about classification as an international student please reach out to the Office of International Programs at internationaloffice@mcneese.edu.
- In order to apply for scholarships, students must indicate they want to be considered and the scholarship section must be completed on the Application for Admission.
- Students can only be considered for scholarships after being fully admitted.
- Undergraduate scholarships are renewable for 8 continuous semesters of study (regular spring/fall semesters only) provided continuation requirements (detailed in award letter) are met.
- Graduate scholarships are renewable for 4 continuous semesters of study (regular spring/fall semesters only) provided continuation requirements (detailed in award letter) are met.
- Students who are sponsored by government or government-affiliated scholarship programs are not eligible to request any scholarships through McNeese State University.
Undergraduate Student Scholarships and Awards
First Time Freshman:

To be considered for this scholarship, students must be fully admitted and meet one of the score ranges below.

Transfers from US university/colleges:
International Transfer Scholarship
To be considered for this scholarship, students must qualify with regular admission into the University with at least 12 college level hours.

* All International Transfer Scholarships automatically include a Non-Resident Fee Waiver. For the 2021-2022 academic year, the Non-Resident Fee is $11,075.
- Students who are transferring from a foreign university and who do not qualify for the International Transfer Scholarship are encouraged to contact the Office of International Programs for personalized advising. We do offer the SPURS scholarship for qualified students. A personalized admission review is required to inform students of eligibility, criteria, and of the application process.

To be considered for this scholarship, students must qualify with regular admission into the University. Foreign credential evaluation required for all transcripts from non-US institutions.
