International Scholarships

Your First Choice

McNeese State University is proud to offer scholarships to international students. If you have any questions about classification as an international student please reach out to the Office of International Programs at internationaloffice@mcneese.edu.

  • In order to apply for scholarships, students must indicate they want to be considered and the scholarship section must be completed on the Application for Admission.
  • Students can only be considered for scholarships after being fully admitted.
  • Undergraduate scholarships are renewable for 8 continuous semesters of study (regular spring/fall semesters only) provided continuation requirements (detailed in award letter) are met.
  • Graduate scholarships are renewable for 4 continuous semesters of study (regular spring/fall semesters only) provided continuation requirements (detailed in award letter) are met.
  • Students who are sponsored by government or government-affiliated scholarship programs are not eligible to request any scholarships through McNeese State University.
  • Scholarship awards are not guaranteed even if a student meets all eligibility requirements as awards are subject to the availability of funding.

Undergraduate Student Scholarships

First Time Freshmen:

To be considered for this scholarship, students must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 and meet one of the following minimum test scores:

Transfer Students:

To be considered for this scholarship, students must qualify with regular admission into the University with at least 12 college level hours.

Graduate Student Scholarships

To be considered for this scholarship, students must qualify with regular admission into the University.  Foreign credential evaluation required for all transcripts from non-US institutions.
