University Police Escort

Your Safety Matters

The McNeese Police Department has established a free escort service to enhance campus safety.

Available at all times, McNeese police officers are available to escort students, staff, and faculty members to and from parking lots, the parking garage, campus offices, campus facilities, residential halls, or any other location on campus.

We strongly encourage all students, faculty and staff to walk in pairs or small groups, especially late at night.

Arranging an Escort

Call the McNeese Police at 337-475-5711 for an escort. If possible, call 10 to 15 minutes ahead of time. You will need to provide your name, location, destination, number of people that need an escort, and call back telephone number.

Escorts will be dispatched to an agreed-upon location as soon as possible. Please wait for the escorts at the agreed upon location. In most instances the officer will respond in a timely manner; however, an emergency situation may dictate a longer waiting period for the escort. We appreciate your patience in these circumstances.

If an escort is needed from a parking lot, please remain in your vehicle with your doors locked and your headlights on if it is after dark and wait for an officer to respond.
