Staci Henry Named LAHPERD Health Educator of the Year
The Louisiana Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (LAHPERD) recently named McNeese State University assistant professor Dr. Staci Henry the Health Educator of the Year in the category of College/University.
LAHPERD offers recognition to outstanding members and individuals for their contributions and achievements.
Henry teaches health and physical education in the H.C. Drew School of Kinesiology at McNeese. According to Dr. Courtney Hebert, head of the H.C. Drew School of Kinesiology, Henry continuously strives to improve the health literacy of university students and those in the public school community.
Henry has also made a meaningful impact on the Southwest Louisiana community by organizing and hosting the Southwest Louisiana District Senior Games at McNeese. This event serves the community and provides McNeese students with hands-on experience in event planning and community engagement.
