Mother and Daughter Graduate Together From McNeese 

Hilda Ned and her daughter, Lori Ned, both celebrated their graduation during McNeese State University’s fall commencement in December. 

Lori earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and has accepted a position at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in the oncology department. Her mother, Hilda, earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. 

“McNeese gave me the knowledge, clinical experience and confidence I needed to begin my nursing career,” Lori said. “I’m grateful for the faculty who challenged and supported me throughout the program.” 

Hilda fulfilled her dream of finishing her college degree by taking classes online while balancing family responsibilities.  

“Completing my degree was something I always wanted to accomplish, and being able to graduate alongside my daughter made the experience incredibly special,” Hilda said. “McNeese provided the encouragement and support that made this possible.”
