McNeese University Band Auditions Move Online

McNeese State University’s W.A. and Dorothy Hannah Department of Performing Arts has moved entrance and scholarship auditions for University Bands online.

Scheduled to be held March 20 and 21, the auditions have been moved to the online format as a precautionary measure for those auditioning, according to associate professor of music Dr. Lonny Benoit.

Now, students who want to try out can simply go to www.mcneesebands.com/online-auditions and follow directions to upload a YouTube video of themselves demonstrating their instrumental or vocal skills, as well as fill out the Scholarship and Service Award application.

All prospective music majors and those wishing to participate in the music ensembles in the department must complete an audition. The priority deadline for scholarship applications is April 13, but online auditions submitted after this date will still be considered.
