IBERIABANK Supports McNeese

IBERIABANK has committed $100,000 to various McNeese State University programs and initiatives for the 2019-2020 academic year.

“We are honored to continue and strengthen our partnership with IBERIABANK,” McNeese President Dr. Daryl Burckel said. “Through the years, IBERIABANK has been a generous donor to both our academic and athletic programs.”

“McNeese is such a vital part of Southwest Louisiana, and we are proud to continue our annual support of $100,000 to the University,” Phil Earhart, IBERIABANK Southwest Louisiana President said. “At IBERIABANK, it is our honor and privilege to support the community that we serve.”

The new funds are dedicated to the McNeese First Choice Campaign, Bridge the Gap and College of Liberal Arts scholarships, McNeese athletics programs and to the College of Business.

“Earlier this fall, at the General Faculty-Staff Meeting, we announced the creation of the President’s Awards for Excellence in Service Sponsored by IBERIABANK,” Burckel said. “It is important for us to recognize employees for their commitment to the University’s vision and mission and for their demonstrated excellence in work-related accomplishments and service to the University and the community,” he added.

All McNeese faculty and staff are eligible for nomination for these new awards that will be presented in August 2020. Up to nine recipients from faculty and staff will be awarded.

“IBERIABANK’s decision to commit $15,000 to sponsor the President’s Awards for Excellence will allow us to present the recipients with a monetary award,” Burckel said.
